Unilever’s Seb Bardin: How Coronavirus Has Shaken Up Digital Media + Innovation
17 July 2020
Unilever Global Head of Acquisition & Marketing Seb Bardin told the 99//Club Digital Festival last month that coronavirus means the old rules of digital media no longer apply.
“We need to look at what worked, what didn’t work. The old ways of working won’t work anymore,” said Bardin.
Bardin, who joined Unilever from Sony last year, went on to describe the rise of “feel-good” content facilitated by platforms such as TikTok and the rise of e-commerce.
3,400 people attended the 99//Club Digital Festival, which was a collaboration between MAD//Fest and New Digital Age. Speakers included Ogilvy Vice-chair Rory Sutherland, Starling Bank Chief Growth Officer Rachael Pollard, authors Bruce Daisley and Sam Conniff, and futurists Adah Parris and Shivvy Jervis.
