In the latest episode of the MAD//Pod, Social Element’s Co-Global Chief Executive, Linn Frost, talks about work culture, branded crocs and Social Element's campaign to make social media that little bit better, safer and kinder.

Frost, known as the “unstoppable Pocket Rocket,” shares her vision for making social media a healthier, more inclusive place. “Social, unfortunately, has a darker side,” she notes. “We don’t want to exist in a world where that goes unchecked.” Frost’s new “Make Social Better” campaign aims to unite brands to drive positive change in digital spaces.

The Social Element team made a splash at MAD//Fest by sporting campaign-themed Crocs, which Frost described as “the best conversation starter ever.” This playful approach complements the campaign’s serious goal of tackling issues like mental health and online toxicity. “We’re not against social platforms,” she says. “We just want them to prioritise mental health and positivity.”

A proud advocate for neurodiversity, Frost embraces her “neuro-spicy” identity and values a flexible work culture. “I’ll never work well sitting at a desk 9 to 5,” she says. By fostering an inclusive and adaptable work environment, Social Element empowers its remote-first team to be “bold and brave.”

Frost believes brands should lead with authenticity and purpose, noting, “Brands need a beating heart… they’re multifaceted, like people.” Her commitment to transparency and trust is reshaping both Social Element and the broader social media landscape.
